Christ’s Eternal Gospel: Do The Dead Sea Scrolls, The Pseudepigrapha, And Other Ancient Records Challenge Or Support The Bible? By O. Preston Robinson and Christine H. Robinson

Christ’s Eternal Gospel: Do The Dead Sea Scrolls, The Pseudepigrapha, And Other Ancient Records Challenge Or Support The Bible? By O. Preston Robinson and Christine H. Robinson 272 pages
How old is Christ’s gospel? What evidences, other than those found in the Bible, do we have of its divine origin? Is Jesus of Nazareth the Christ, the Messiah, as predicted in the Old Testament?
These vital questions have received renewed interest in recent years with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and new translations of other ancient records. In Christ’s Eternal Gospel, Dr. O. Preston Robinson and his wife, Christine H. Robinson, examine the scrolls and other books or scriptures that have never been included in the canon of the Bible (scriptures known as the Pseudepigrapha) to show how the gospel taught by Jesus during to his earthly ministry is God’s original plan of salvation, taught in the preexistence and anciently to all the Old Testament patriarchs and prophets.
In the ancient records examined in this fascinating study are found doctrines and principles plus church organization and practices so similar to those reestablished by Jesus and his disciples that thoughtful students conclude that these documents must have exerted a tremendous influence upon Christianity as well as substantiated the teachings of the New Testament.
The authors state that their objective is “to analyze these ancient records and demonstrate that rather than raise doubts about Jesus’ originality and divinity, they actually support and confirm the biblical account and provide additional evidence that the gospel, God’s plan for the salvation of all his children, is eternal.”
 O. Preston and Christine Hinckley Robinson have traveled widely and studied extensively about the Middle East, seeking a more intimate knowledge of the sites and historical background of the Bible. Prior to writing Christ’s Eternal Gospel they did extensive research at the Bodleian Library, Oxford University; in the British Museum and Cambridge University libraries, and at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
