The Incomparable Christ, Our Master And Model

The Incomparable Christ, Our Master And Model By Vaughn J. Featherstone 203 pages
In his ministry to the Nephites, the Savior said, “Hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do.”
In The Incomparable Christ, Elder Vaughn J. Featherstone explains the importance of following the Savior as our master and model. He discusses the savior’s role in the plan of salvation, the Savior and the temple, the Savior and emotions, praying through the Savior, the Savior’s mercy, the depth of the Atonement, the power of charity, our need to have Christ’s image in our countenances, and the inspiration we receive from the Lord.
Elder Featherstone writes, “This book is an attempt to put into words the love, reverence, commitment, dedication, and loyalty to Christ that I feel deeply in my soul” Then, stressing our need to rely on the Lord during the trials of life, he states: “Writing this book has helped me understand the love, mercy, and condescension of our Savior. He continues to touch our innermost lives as deeply as we permit Him. In our own way we tread our individual winepresses, for, as President Harold B. Lee states, we ‘will pass through tests not devised by human hands.’ But we need not do it alone.” Instead we can look to the incomparable Christ, the master and model of our lives.
